How can I get help with citing my sources?

While the library does not proofread the citations that you create, we can point you to some useful tools that will help you to correctly format your citations. Style manuals for the major citation styles (including APA, MLA, and Chicago) are available for use in the library at the Research Center. The Research Center has also created a research guide that directs you to citation resources, including the Online Writing Lab from Purdue University.

Many of the library databases allow you to email a formatted citation to yourself, although you will still need to double-check these pre-formatted citations for correctness. RefWorks, a citation manager that the library subscribes to, allows you to organize your sources and create bibliographies; our RefWorks tutorial provides the information you need to start using this service. Please contact the Research Center if you have questions about any of these resources!
