The University of Denver Libraries launched the Digital Commons @ DU website in October 2015. As of January 26, 2016, we have 1658 works (e.g., papers, data sets, open access journals) uploaded and 11,000 downloads since October.
The map at the bottom of the home page for Digital Commons @ DU allows us to visually associate a downloaded item with a geographic location. The map is a time lapse of the past 24 hours, with dots appearing on the map where the item was downloaded and the title, author, and publication type appearing in the upper left corner. To see what was downloaded at a particular location, click on the dot. Use the arrows in the upper right corner of the map to navigate forward and backwards through the display.
Digital Commons @ DU also provides links to the list of research unit, centers, and departments participating, plus the top downloads and paper of the day. At present the majority of the publications we have in the repository are graduate student dissertations and theses.
