Zero Waste Finals at the Anderson Academic Commons
Monday, March 7th through Friday, March 11th
Please help divert compostable and recyclable waste from the landfill.
Once again the Sustainability Committee of the Anderson Academic Commons is hoping that students and patrons will take advantage of sustainability-trained faculty and staff who are available to answer questions about sustainable behavior, including where to dispose of trash to direct the smallest amount possible to the landfill. Library visitors who get caught “green handed” by properly diverting waste to the recycle or compost bins will win a prize. A daily raffle for anyone who composts a pizza box in the Academic Commons offers the opportunity to win a coupon for a free pizza. Free KIND bars and Two Leaves and a Bud brand tea, which is made by a Colorado company from high quality organic and fairly traded tea with compostable packaging, will be available at select times each day.
